Things to do in Noosa

1. Australia zoo - Noosa is one of the few places that Australia Zoo runs their FREE bus from. It leaves Noosa everyday at 8.30am and Nomads Noosa Backpackers Hostel has a free bus at 8am to meet up with this bus. Cuddle a Koala, feed a Kangaroo, see Elephants, Crocodiles and heaps more!

2. Main Beach – Swim, relax and sun-bake. Lush! Main Beach is one of the Noosa’s most lovely beaches, but realistically there are more beaches then you could poke a stick at- Sunrise Beach, Sunshine Beach, Alexandria Bay (Nudist Beach- yay!) Tea tree Bay and of course Main Beach.

3. Farmers Markets – The Farmers Market runs every Sunday and sells the yummiest, freshest produce in town!

4. Noosa National Park - The Noosa National Park in one of the most amazing areas in Noosa. The coastal walks are my favourite with amazing cliffs drops, trees and sandy beaches- keep an eye out for Dolphins and those elusive Koalas!

5. Have a surf – What better way to pass the time then jumping in the ocean and catching a wave? LUSH!

6. Big Day out - this is the best valued day trip you are going to find any where in Australia in my opinion! Free pick up from Nomads Noosa Backpackers Hostel, visit the Eumundi Markets, waterfalls, Noosa Hinterland, BBQ Lunch, Dinner and Drink voucher and a choice of a 2 hour Surf Lesson, 2 Hour Wake board session or 2 hour guided Ocean Kayak. Such an awesome day out!!!

7. The Lookout - The Lookout offers awesome views over the Noosa hinterland, Beaches and Riverways. I really recommend this area for sunset – but any time of the day is awesome. The Lookout is about a 10-15 minute walk from Nomads Noosa Backpackers Hostel.

8. Sunset Cruise – Another really cheap trip to do and so worthwhile. This cruise goes along the Noosa river while the sun goes down- so nice! Even better they allow you to bring your own booze – they’ll even provide glasses and ice.

9. The Everglades – The everglades are a stunningly beautiful area in Noosa. They over amazing views with unique reflective waters that will give you some seriously cool photos!!

10. Eumundi Markets – Word on the street is once upon a time these markets were the largest open air markets in the Southern Hemisphere! Go Eumundi!!! I have heard this poor towns name pronounced any which way, so if you say to a local that you are going to a market in emmmmmmmmhergerfelerton….. they’ll know what you mean!!! It is actually pronounced ewe-mun-dee and local transport runs regularly from Noosa.

These are a few of the main things I really recommend you do before you leave Noosa, but there seriously thousands of things you can do!

Oh! And there is one other thing I forgot to add to the must do list! You MUST MUST MUST, have an ice cold beer or a wicked cocktail in the KB’s bar and restaurant in Nomads Noosa Backpackers Hostel! For other things to do in Noosa have a look in our Noosa destination Guide.
